In 2011 New York City's CUNY Architecture & Engineering students built a Solar Roofpod.The Solar Roofpod was designed and built for the Solar Decathlon, a university solar house competition organized by the U.S. Department of Energy. The Roofpod competed against 20 other student-built solar homes on the Washington Mall in September 2011.
This competition came to mind when we discussed getting a class or group together to build a mobile classroom/studio. I like the idea of involving a university or even an established company to help build or even work with the students on the thought and design process.
